Real Succop Nature Park Wedding: Eddie and Angela

July 27, 2025 Kristen Kane

Liza Kirk Photography

Eddie and Angela’s June wedding day at Succop Nature Park in Butler was the perfect balance of relaxed celebration and elevated detail. Their festivities reflected not only their love story but also their easygoing, modern style.

From a morning of getting ready in Sewickley to a thoughtful ceremony under the willow tree at Succop Nature Park and a lively afterparty at Shooters Golf, every part of the day was designed with intention. It was a joy for the Kristen Kane Events team to guide them through the wedding planning process and oversee each detail from start to finish.

Getting Ready in Sewickley

Angela began her wedding day surrounded by her closest friends at THE SKINHOUSE by Angela Rae, the Pittsburgh area spa she owns and loves. Emma Hackworth styled the ladies’ hair, and Antonette Medved provided makeup services for the bride and bridesmaids, creating a relaxed and beautiful start to the day.

As venue final touches were completed, shuttle services provided by Elite Transportation and Pittsburgh Transportation Group arrived to take guests to Succop Nature Park while the Kristen Kane Events team ensured all details were in place. Wild Botanical delivered romantic ceremony and reception florals, Illume set up ambient outdoor lighting, and every table setting was carefully prepared by Medures Catering.

A Private First Look

Angela dressed in a classic gown from Blanc de Blanc Bridal and met Eddie for a first look at the historic front doors of Succop’s Marcraig House. It was a quiet, moving moment captured beautifully by Liza Kirk Photography and Dorosh Documentaries. Eddie’s expression said everything.

A Ceremony Beneath the Succop Willow Tree

Officiated by Jake Carr, the bride and groom exchanged marriage vows beneath the willow tree in an unplugged wedding ceremony in front of 256 guests. Without phones or distractions, the atmosphere felt intimate and present. To quench their thirst, guests were offered custom spiked Capri Suns prior to the ceremony.

A Lighthearted Cocktail Hour

Following the ceremony, guests gathered near the Marcraig House for cocktail hour featuring a full bar and hors d’oeuvres. A custom beer pong setup in the lawn offered a playful contrast, proof that elegance and fun can absolutely coexist. Guests also spoke their well wishes into the audio guestbook.

Dinner, Dancing, and Thoughtful Moments

Eddie and Angela entered their reception to an enthusiastic welcome and shared a first dance before dinner and toasts. Toasts from both sets of parents, both Maids of Honor, and the Best Man were heartfelt and full of love. The bride and groom gave their own thank-you speech, taking a moment to express their gratitude.

Angela and Eddie stepped away for a private dinner together in the Marcraig House. It was a brief but meaningful pause to reflect on their day and spend a few quality minutes alone. Angela later changed into a second dress before dancing began.

First Class Entertainment kept the dance floor packed throughout the evening, while guests helped themselves to Millie’s Ice Cream from their adorable Tiny Van, posed at the DigiBooths, and visited the Pittsburgh Cookie Table for late-night snacks.

A Relaxed Afterparty

At 10 p.m., guests headed to a casual afterparty at Shooters Golf. Meanwhile, the Kristen Kane Events team oversaw the removal of fresh floral centerpieces, cards and gifts, and leftover food to send home with family, ensuring that no detail was overlooked.

From the Kristen Kane Events Team

Eddie and Angela’s wedding was a thoughtful blend of timeless style and relaxed celebration. It reflected what matters most to them: connection, authenticity, and the freedom to enjoy their day their way.

It was a pleasure to be part of such a meaningful celebration. Thank you, Eddie and Angela, for allowing us to play a small part in your story.
