Creating a wedding website is an excellent way to keep your guests informed and organized for your special day. As a Pittsburgh wedding planner, I recommend including the following essential details to ensure your guests have all the information they need.

What to Include on Your Wedding Website

Can I Bring Kids?

Let your guests know if children are welcome or if it's an adults-only celebration.

Can I Bring a Guest?

Clarify your policy on plus-ones to avoid any confusion.

RSVP Date

Clearly state the deadline for RSVPs to ensure you receive responses in a timely manner.

Mail or RSVP Online

Provide instructions on how guests can RSVP, whether it’s via mail or through an online form.

Wedding Ceremony Location

Include the address, directions, and any specific instructions for arriving at the ceremony venue.

Wedding Reception Location

Detail the address and directions to the reception venue, especially if it’s different from the ceremony location.

Hotel Room Block

Offer information about any hotel room blocks you’ve reserved, including booking details and deadlines.

Shuttle Services

If you’re providing transportation, include the shuttle schedule and pick-up/drop-off locations.

Attire

Let guests know the dress code for your wedding to help them dress appropriately.

Parking

Provide parking information, including available lots, costs, and any valet services.

Arrival Time

Specify what time guests should arrive for the ceremony to ensure everything runs smoothly.

Are Ceremony Photos Okay?

Indicate if guests are allowed to take photos during the ceremony or if you prefer an unplugged ceremony.

Okay to Post on Social Media?

Let guests know if it’s acceptable to post photos on social media and if there are any specific hashtags to use.

Cocktail Hour Between Ceremony and Reception

Inform guests if there will be a cocktail hour and any details about what to expect.

Menu/Dietary Restrictions

Share the menu options and provide a way for guests to communicate any dietary restrictions or allergies.

Reception End Time

Let guests know when the reception will conclude so they can plan their transportation accordingly.

Registry Info

Include links to your wedding registry to make it easy for guests to find and purchase gifts.

Contact Information for Additional Questions

Provide contact details for guests who may have additional questions or need further assistance.

A thoughtfully designed wedding website keeps your day running smoothly and allows you to focus on what truly matters — celebrating.
