Halloween is one of my favorite times of the year to get creative and have a lot of fun. Recently, I had the opportunity to share some of my thoughts on Halloween and parties in the October issue of Costco Connection. It was a wonderful chance to talk about ways to make celebrations memorable, whether you’re hosting a small gathering or a larger event. As a Pittsburgh event planner, I love helping people turn their ideas into experiences guests will remember.
One of the highlights of past Halloween parties I’ve hosted is the Trick or Treat table. It’s a playful mix of sweet treats and harmless tricks — think caramel-covered onions disguised as candy apples, chocolate-covered Brussels sprouts shaped like cake pops, or Oreos swapped with toothpaste. These little surprises always spark conversation and laughter, and they give guests a fun memory to take home. For anyone looking for Halloween party ideas, this is a simple element that adds a lot of impact.
If you’re planning a Halloween celebration, my advice is to focus on small details that make a big difference. From themed décor to creative games and a few unexpected twists, these touches can elevate any gathering. Alongside other Halloween enthusiasts, I shared tips in Costco Connection on how to bring playful and creative elements into your party. Even incorporating just one fun idea, like a Trick or Treat table, can make your Halloween event feel thoughtful and memorable.
Even if you’re hosting a smaller gathering, using a few clever touches can bring excitement and joy to your celebration. As a Pittsburgh event coordinator, I’ve found that the little things — whether it’s a themed table, unique décor, or a surprising treat — are what guests remember the most. With thoughtful planning and a few creative ideas, your Halloween party can be full of fun, laughter, and unforgettable moments.
