Barefoot Wine x NFL Draft Pop-Up Bar: A Pittsburgh Brand Activation in Market Square

April 26, 2026 Kristen Kane

Barefoot Wines x NFL Draft Pop-Up Bar Brand Activation in Market Square, Pittsburgh

When the 2026 NFL Draft came to Pittsburgh, the city transformed into a high-energy destination for football fans, brands, and media alike. Kristen Kane Events had the opportunity to serve as a Pittsburgh pop-up bar designer for an exciting brand activation: the Barefoot Wine x NFL Draft House Pop-Up Bar, located in the heart of Market Square.

As the official wine sponsor of the NFL Draft, Barefoot Wine brought a bold and playful presence to the space, and our team was tasked with bringing that vision to life through immersive design and thoughtful execution.

The concept centered around a football-inspired environment with a vibrant purple color scheme that tied into the overall Draft aesthetic. One of the most eye-catching design elements was the custom grass walls, designed to mimic a football field and instantly set the tone for guests as they entered the space. Throughout the venue, Barefoot Wine and NFL Draft logos were prominently featured, reinforcing the partnership and creating a cohesive branded experience.

To further enhance the theme, football plays were illustrated across the walls, adding movement and visual interest while tying directly into the sport. Guests were able to interact with multiple photo opportunities, including a locker room-inspired photo op and a large step-and-repeat backdrop featuring all NFL team logos—perfect for social sharing and brand visibility.

A standout feature of the activation was the 10-foot inflatable Barefoot Wine bottle, previously seen at the Super Bowl, which added a recognizable and memorable focal point within the space. This larger-than-life element helped anchor the design and drew guests in from across Market Square.

Lighting played a key role in elevating the overall atmosphere. Accent lighting by Needs More Fog added depth and energy, enhancing the purple tones and creating a dynamic environment that transitioned seamlessly from day to night.

This project is a strong example of how strategic event design and brand activation can transform a temporary space into an engaging, high-impact experience. As a Pittsburgh event planner specializing in brand activations and custom installations, Kristen Kane Events focuses on creating environments that not only look great but also drive interaction, visibility, and lasting impressions.

Being part of the 2026 NFL Draft in Pittsburgh was an incredible opportunity, and we’re proud of the collaboration and creativity that brought this pop-up bar to life in Market Square.

Special thanks to Skysight Photography for the amazing photos, the Kristen Kane Events team for pulling off every detail flawlessly, and the staff at The Yard for their venue assistance.

Cranberry Township Pop-Up Bar Opens in Celebration of NFL Draft

April 17, 2026 Kristen Kane

As the NFL Draft brings excitement to Pittsburgh, one of the standout destinations to experience Draft Week is happening just outside the city in Cranberry Township.

The Draft Week Pop-Up Bar at the Hilton Garden Inn Cranberry offers a high-energy, accessible way to be part of the action—without the congestion of downtown Pittsburgh. Sponsored by Experience Butler County and designed by Kristen Kane Events, this immersive experience brings together football fans, locals, and visitors for a full week of celebration.

Running from April 22 through April 26, from 4:00 PM to 10:00 PM daily, the pop-up bar is designed to capture the energy of the NFL Draft in a setting that feels both elevated and welcoming. Guests can enjoy signature cocktails, game day bites, and a lively, football-inspired atmosphere that makes it easy to stop in, stay awhile, and connect with others during one of the biggest weeks in sports.

For those searching for NFL Draft events near Pittsburgh, this Cranberry Township location offers a convenient and well-executed alternative. With free admission and free parking, it removes many of the barriers that come with larger city events while still delivering a strong experience.

One of the biggest highlights of NFL Draft week takes place on Friday, April 24 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM, when guests can meet NFLPA Former Players. Attendees will have the opportunity to grab a drink and talk football with:

  • Steve Fedell (Pittsburgh Steelers ‘81–82)

  • Craig Bingham (Pittsburgh Steelers ‘82–86, Los Angeles Chargers ‘87)

  • Ron Coder (Seattle Seahawks, St. Louis Cardinals, Denver Broncos ‘76–80)

  • Boris Anyama (Atlanta Falcons ‘15)

  • Dan Rains (Philadelphia Eagles ‘78, Chicago Bears ‘82–86)

  • John Skorupan (Buffalo Bills ‘73–77, New York Giants ‘78–80)

This meet-and-greet adds a personal and memorable element to the event, giving guests a chance to engage with former NFL players in a relaxed, social setting.

As a Pittsburgh event planner, Kristen Kane Events focuses on creating experiences that are both seamless and engaging. The Draft Week Pop-Up Bar reflects that approach, combining thoughtful design with a strong understanding of what guests are looking for during a high-profile event like the NFL Draft.

Whether you’re a dedicated football fan or simply looking for something to do during Draft Week, this pop-up bar delivers a straightforward and enjoyable experience. Guests are encouraged to wear their favorite team gear, enjoy the atmosphere, and make it part of their plans while the spotlight is on Pittsburgh.

At Kristen Kane Events, we design pop up bars that feel like an experience from the moment guests walk in. As a Pittsburgh Pop Up Bar Designer, our team creates immersive environments that transform restaurants, hotels, breweries, private event venues, and corporate spaces into something completely unexpected.

Pop up bars are more than a themed cocktail menu. They are layered, intentional experiences that combine design, layout, lighting, signage, florals, props, and guest flow. When done correctly, they create energy in the room and give people something to talk about long after the event ends.

Over the past few seasons, we have had the opportunity to design and install several custom concepts throughout the city.

At Threadbare Cider House on the North Side, we created installations that leaned into playful storytelling with rich color palettes, whimsical details, and photo ready moments that encouraged guests to linger. The Tipsy Princess design currently remains in place and is available for private rentals.

In the Strip District, we partnered with Wigle Whiskey to bring Monster Mash and Wigle Wonderland to life. From dramatic seasonal lighting to curated lounge areas and layered decor, these pop ups helped transform the tasting room into a fully themed destination that felt fresh and intentional.

At Rivers Club, we designed The Nightmare Bar, leaning into moody textures and elevated Halloween details that balanced sophistication with fun. For the holiday season at Eleventh Hour Brewing in Lawrenceville, The Jingle Bar incorporated festive greenery, warm lighting, tons of tinsel, and custom installations that made the space feel cozy and celebratory without overwhelming the existing layout.

What sets our approach apart is that we handle the full process. Our team designs the concept, sources and fabricates decor elements, manages logistics, installs on site, and oversees teardown. We are experienced in working within tight deadlines and coordinate with venue teams so the bar runs efficiently while the design enhances the overall guest experience.

Immersive experiences are at the core of what we do. A strong pop up bar design considers how guests move through the space, where they gather, what they photograph, and how the environment supports beverage sales. The goal is to create an atmosphere that feels intentional rather than temporary.

If you are a Pittsburgh event venue, hotel, brewery, restaurant, or brand looking to introduce a seasonal activation or themed bar concept, Kristen Kane Events would love to collaborate. As a Pittsburgh Pop Up Bar Designer, we focus on thoughtful design, practical execution, and experiences that feel polished yet welcoming.

With the 2026 NFL Draft coming to Pittsburgh, we have one remaining opening for a themed pop-up this spring.

The Tipsy Princess: An Immersive Cocktail Pop-Up Experience in Pittsburgh

Immersive experiences are redefining how guests engage with events and The Tipsy Princess offers a polished take on the trend. Created and produced locally in Pittsburgh by Kristen Kane Events, this interactive princess themed cocktail pop-up bar blends imaginative design, character-driven moments, and curated beverages into a thoughtfully paced social experience.

Taking place Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays from February 6–22, The Tipsy Princess transforms a private venue inside Threadbare Cider House in Pittsburgh into a fully styled environment designed for connection, interaction, and discovery. Each session is ticketed and timed, ensuring the experience remains intimate, comfortable, and intentionally paced.

What Is The Tipsy Princess?

The Tipsy Princess is a 21+ immersive cocktail pop-up experience in Pittsburgh where guests are invited into a whimsical, character-led environment. Rather than a traditional bar or seated show, the experience unfolds through movement, conversation, and optional participation.

The “princesses” are interactive hosts who guide the tone of the event through light games, clever banter, and subtle storytelling. Guests are free to engage at their own pace — observing, participating, or simply enjoying the atmosphere.

This is not a bar crawl and not a scripted performance. It is a layered social experience designed to feel playful without being overproduced.

What’s Included With Your Ticket

Each ticket to The Tipsy Princess immersive pop-up includes:

  • 90-minute immersive cocktail experience

  • One complimentary cocktail or mocktail, courtesy of Wigle Whiskey

  • Access to custom themed décor and styled photo moments

  • Full brunch menu included on Sunday sessions

Additional craft cocktails, mocktails, and ales are available for purchase. Beverage offerings are developed in collaboration with Wigle Whiskey, adding a distinctly local Pittsburgh element to the experience.

The Venue: A Private Pittsburgh Setting

The experience takes place inside the former Threadbare Cider House, currently closed to the public and used exclusively for private events. Located on Pittsburgh’s North Side, the venue provides free, private parking and a sense of separation from traditional nightlife.

This setting allows The Tipsy Princess to feel contained and intentional — an immersive environment where guests can settle in, explore, and enjoy without distraction.

February Dates, Special Weekends & Sunday Sessions

While the immersive cocktail experience is the foundation, The Tipsy Princess runs Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays throughout February, including dates that align with Valentine’s Day weekend and Galentine’s celebrations. The event is well suited for couples, friend groups, birthdays, and small group outings.

Sunday sessions offer a delicious brunch experience, providing an alternative for guests who prefer daytime events while still enjoying the same immersive design and character interactions.
